What types of boats qualify for Yacht Insurance?

Yacht insurance comes into play for larger vessels, typically greater than 35-40 feet in length. Many different vessels can qualify for yacht insurance such as luxury high value yachts, sport fishing boats, trawlers, cruisers, large sailboats and more.

What makes yacht insurance different than boat insurance?

In the simplest of terms, the coverage is more extensive. Because of the larger size, the insurance needs to adjust. On a typical yacht insurance policy, there may be coverage for things like extended navigation into the Bahamas or Caribbean, or even a captain or crew member on board. Every yacht has unique risks, requiring specialized coverage.

What insurance companies underwrite yachts?

Great question! We work with top-rated yacht insurers, including Chubb, Travelers, American Modern, and Seafarer Marine, to name a few. It’s important for us to understand your needs so we can get you to the right company. Book your consultation today so we can get you, On The Water!
