Coverage options for your yacht
Protection and Indemnity Liability
Liability coverage provides coverage to other boaters and boat owners in the event you are at-fault for an accident on the water. This coverage will pay to repair or replace the property of someone else as well as for their medical care, lost wages, and other costs incurred as a result of a boating accident for which you are at-fault.
Agreed Value Coverage
Agreed Value means that if your vessel is a total loss, you will get the value you insured it for, minus any deductible that is applied. This guarantees there are no surprises on the value of the vessel during a total loss claim.
Fuel Spill Liability and Wreckage Removal
Should your vessel sink or be seriously damaged, there is a chance that it could leak oil or fuel into the water. As the vessel owner, you are required by law to have this cleaned up, which can be time consuming and expensive. Our carriers include protection for Fuel Spill Liability under the Oil Pollution Act of 1990.
Broad Navigation
Navigational Territories can include the entire United States, Canada, and up to 150 miles off shore. Bahamas can be added to cover as far south as Turks and Caicos.
Captain/Crew Liability
If you have a paid crew on board, you are responsible for their liability. Their liability is part of the Jones Act, which is covered with our high value yacht insurance companies.
Tender/Dinghy Coverage
Coverage will extend to any tender you keep on board. This vessel will also be covered for physical damage coverage up to the agreed upon amount.
Marina as Additional Insured / Hurricane Haul Out
The marina can and should be listed as an additional insured under your yacht policy. We can also include coverage if your vessel will be hauled to protect it from incoming hurricanes or tropical storms.
Search and Resuce
Our options range from $10,000 to $15,000 in coverage for search and rescue activities that occur in reference to the insured vessel.
Meet Your Yacht Insurance Broker, Eric Fisher
Eric is from Cincinnati, Ohio where he worked as a firefighter/paramedic and developed his love for the water while working on a River Rescue boat on the Ohio River. He entered the insurance industry in 2013 and spent time managing the yacht sales division of a national insurance carrier before opening Outdoor AdvINSURE in 2022.
He is married to his wife, Jamie, and they have two boys Morgan & Caleb.
